Die beiden mehrseitigen Dokumenten waren mit wächsernen Siegeln und dem [[Das Wappen der Familie Eckart|Wappen der Familie Eckart]] versiegelt. Sie gehören damit zu den frühesten überlieferten Dokumenten, auf denen das Wappen Verwendung findet. Das Testament von 1854 beginnt mit den Worten:
