In 1817, he married Babette Bertholdt (*August 26, 1790, in Wilhermsdorf; †May 6, 1866, in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz). The family archive contains a letter from 1841, written by Philipp to his son David. Philipp Johann Christoph Eckart zog 1816 nach Neustadt an der Aisch. Dort erwarb er den Gasthof „Zur Krone“. 1817 heiratete Philipp Eckart Babette Bertholdt (*&nbsp;26.08.1790 in Wilhermsdorf; †&nbsp;06.05.1866 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz). Im Familienarchiv befindet sich ein Brief von 1841, den Philipp an seinen Sohn David schrieb. Er ermahnt ihn darin liebevoll, stets ein guter Mensch zu sein und sich nichts zu Schulden kommen zu lassen.<ref>Familienarchiv Eckart, Phi I 01, Bericht des Philipp Eckart
