Hans Eckart der Jüngere, (II 2), (*around 1619 in Schweinthal, Germany; †February 22, 1681, in Egloffstein, Germany), baker in Schweinthal, miller, brewer, married (1) Kunigunda Rahner on August 1, 1637, in Wichsenstein, Germany, (2) Kunigunda Adelmann on April 18, 1670, in Egloffstein, Germany

Prior to 1637, Hans Eckart the Younger bought a farm called "Prechtelhof" in the documents, for a price of 700 guilders.[1] With the purchase, he had to commit himself to paying his lord of the manor, i.e., the Landalmosenamt (provincial alms office), all the taxes and rent demanded by the lord of the manor for the year 1637 which amounted to a total of 45 guilders and 20 kreutzer. However, Hans Eckart the Younger fell into arrears with the payments, resulting in his arrest on October 22, 1638. According to the defaulter book of the Landalmosenamt: "Hans Eckard himself was put in irons, because he has not paid his outstanding taxes, even though several demands and threats had been made."[2] A day later, however, he was set free again, as his elder brother Hans (II 1) had stood surety for him.[3] In 1637, Hans Eckart the Younger married Kunigunda Rahner (*around 1615 in Oberzaunsbach; †July 12, 1667, in Egloffstein). The couple had twelve children; their eldest son was Georg Eckart.
