Unlike his ancestors, Heinrich Eckart was of the Protestant denomination. He purchased a farm in Eckenreuth. In April 1562, he married Elss Pomp (*around 1540 in Mergners, near Betzenstein; †after September 1569), who came from Mergners, near Betzenstein.[1] The couple had three children. Wolff was their eldest son.
